Hello there, I'm Sid
Software engineer specialised in data engineering and distributed networks. I build products that make complex systems more human.
Previously I worked in data at Microsoft and Principal Financial Group, then co-founded BioChain, built on Hyperledger and acquired in 2024. I'm currently building OpenShore, a data analytics platform for Polkadot Open Governance, at Pala Labs.

I started Palkhi Yatra to continue my father's standalone effort to provide food to the pilgrims of the Pandharpur Waari. From the very beginning, our goal has been to offer food during the most challenging stretches of their journey.
The Waari is not just a pilgrimage for me; it is a festival I have watched and cherished since childhood. Seeing the lack of organisation, the food waste, and the illness spread by food poisoning among pilgrims left me feeling helpless in my younger years.
In 2018 I resolved to tackle these problems head-on, bringing together people who shared the same goal to properly manage the food supply and ensure a healthy journey for the pilgrims.
